The PSG-1SD is a silenced scoped Sniper rifle that appears in IGI 2:Covert Strike. It is the silent version of PSG-1 sniper rifle.

IGI 2: Covert Strike

Since it it silenced, PSG-1SD is perfect for long-distance assassinations or killing large groups of hostiles without getting noticed. With only 5 bullets per magazine and 25 in reserve, the player has to take careful aim to ensure one-hit kills.

PSG-1 is usually found on certain pickups, or given at the start of some missions. It is also equipped by a Libyan soldier in a mission.

Since it is not equipped by any soldier (other than the soldier mentioned above), conservation of its ammo is necessary.

• Prison Escape: Found on a guard at the main gate roof . One surplus also found on the main gate roof

Trivia

• Although both PSG-1 and PSG-1SD use same ammunition, their ammo is not shared in the game (unlike the M82A1 and M82A1-T). If a PSG-1 is picked up before switching to PSG-1SD, the ammo is not transferred.
